Will Richmond is the editor and publisher of VideoNuze, a widely followed online publication which provides original analysis and curated news for streaming, connected TV, online video, TV, technology, advertising and investment industry executives. Will also hosts and produces three Connected TV advertising-focused conferences each year. Tens of thousands of industry executives have attended these and prior conferences Will has organized since 2007. Will is also the co-creator and co-host of “Inside the Stream,” a popular weekly podcast on various facets of the streaming video industry.
In 2003, Will founded Broadband Directions LLC, through which he has provided consulting services to some of the largest media and technology companies, and investment firms, in the world.
Will has worked in the cable TV, broadband, content, advertising and Internet/technology industries for over 25 years. He is an acknowledged thought-leader whose insights are sought by C-level executives, investors, journalists and others. LinkedIn named Will as one of the top 10 media writers of 2015.
Earlier in his career, Will spent eight years at Continental Cablevision (then the third-largest cable TV operator in the U.S.), where he was VP, Business Development and a co-founder of the company’s pioneering broadband Internet access service "Highway1". Subsequently he served as VP, Business Development for CMGI's iCast and for Narad Networks. He was also the founder of PoliticalWag.com, an early political discussion/community site.
Will chairs the Emerging Media and Technologies Committee and serves on the board of advisors of GBH, the leading multiplatform creator for public media in America. He is an active participant in numerous industry initiatives. Will served as an adjunct professor in the Boston University College of Communication’s graduate program in Media Ventures from 2015-2021. He is a past board member of American Public Television. For 17 years, until his knees said “please, sir, no more,” Will rode the annual Pan-Mass Challenge from Wellesley, MA to Provincetown, MA, a bike-a-thon that raises more money for charity than any other single athletic fundraising event in the US.
Will earned a BS from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
