Project Canoe, which Mugs covered for VideoNuze recently, is the cable industry's new interactive ad system, meant to draw national advertisers to cable's VOD and other advanced video delivery platforms. A rumor has circulated widely that David Verklin, former CEO of Aegis North America (a large advertising service firm) would get the nod, but nothing has been made official.
